Student Teaching and Clinical Observation Hours Requests
²ÊºçƵµÀ District is committed to growing the next generation of educators. We work with universities, colleges and other educator preparation programs in need of degree-seeking student placements in urban education classrooms to meet program requirements. With over 35 schools and programs, serving almost 19,000 K-12 students, KUSD has a lot of opportunities for your classroom experience!
What does a student teaching placement look like? You will be placed in a classroom appropriate to your program and licensure requirements with a highly qualified cooperating teacher. You will gain hands-on classroom experience in organization and time management, lesson planning and development, classroom management, empathy and patience, problem solving and critical thinking, and more as you build your career skills and network.
All student teaching and clinical observation students will be required to have an approved KUSD background check on file prior to the start of their placement.
